International Indexing – Congratulations to Portuguese Ophthalmology!

National ophthalmology is to be congratulated, with the journal Oftalmologia achieving acceptance in international reference databases, reinforcing its scientific standing.

The journal Oftalmologia has been accepted for indexing in Elsevier databases, including Embase and Scopus.
This indexing represents an important step in the scientific recognition of the journal, reinforcing its credibility and international recognition, and will enable:

• Greater international visibility of published articles
• Inclusion in standardized bibliometric metrics (citations, h-index, CiteScore)
• Higher probability of citation and scientific impact of articles
• Greater scientific recognition for authors and for the SPO

The magazine remains wholly owned by SPO, with complete editorial independence.
