National access databases:
Clinical Research is based on the collection and processing of clinical data to observe the behavior of various pathologies and therapies.
Thus, it is essential to collect a large amount of clinical data from various clinical units. The collection of these data must be systematized in order to allow a good analysis and statistical treatment.
The creation of data sharing networks is fundamental to collect data in a uniform and systematized manner. This network sharing also allows the creation of scale in research and the publication of results in high impact journals. The international connection of the same networks and the easy international sharing of data is fundamental for this creation of scale and for the valorization of our research.
In this sense, the national ophthalmologic community has shared data in several databases organized according to the different areas of Ophthalmology.
